Model “A” Display

Celebrate the past this Grandparent’s Day with a trip to The Magic House. Visitors of all ages are sure to get revved up over the Model “A” Car Display on The Magic House’s exhibit patio. The Model “A” was a popular automobile manufactured from 1928-1931 that followed in the famous tire tracks of its predecessor the Model “T”. Join members from the Missouri Valley Region Model “A” Restorers Club on Sunday, September 12 from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm as they answer questions about the Model “A” and show off their classic cars. It’s sure to be a blast from the past!

28th Annual Kids’ Flea Market

Sunday, September 26, 11:00 am-3:00 pm

Bargain hunters will be “flea-ing” to The Magic House on Sunday, September 26 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for the Annual Kids’ Flea Market. Enterprising kids 16 years and younger will be selling their outgrown toys, books, CDs, baseball cards, games and handmade craft items. There are all kinds of hidden treasures to discover. Besides all of the great bargains, there will be clowns, face painting and attendance prizes. The Kids’ Flea Market will take place on the museum’s Exhibit Patio located in the backyard of The Magic House rain or shine. Admission to the Kids’ Flea Market is free.

Cost: Free to attend and shop.

Big Truck Day

Have a truckload of fun at The Magic House’s annual Big Truck Day! Spend a constructive day getting up close and personal with some big trucks including a backhoe, a skid steer loader, a dump truck, a giant crane, a fire truck and more! Big Truck Day includes a hot dog meal, decorating your very own construction hat and all-day admission to The Magic House. It’s sure to be a “wheel” treat for the whole family!

Fairy Tale Tea

Saturday and Sunday, November 13 – 14, 2010

Once upon a time – Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, to be exact — The Magic House will host its annual fall Fairy Tale Tea at 11:00 am,1:00 pm and 3:00 pm each day. Aspiring princes and princesses will have the opportunity to sip tea or apple juice, dine on assorted pastries provided by Saint Louis Bread Co., make a bejeweled crown to take home and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella inside the Whitaker Theater at The Magic House. Following the play, kids can see their favorite characters up close as Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother visit with guests and sign autographs. Royal attire is encouraged. At least one shoe required!

Cost: $18 per person (includes all-day admission to The Magic House)

This is one event you’re sure to “flip” over! You and your little short stack are invited to join us on Sunday, December 12 at 8:30 am, 9:45 am, 11:00 am or 5:00 pm (if you’re planning on sleeping in) for our Annual Breakfast with Santa! Make your morning (or evening) sizzle with a yummy pancake breakfast cooked by a pancake flipper extraordinaire, a special photo with Santa, a fun holiday craft to take home and admission to The Magic House. It’s sure to “stack” up to your expectations!

Cost: $18 per person (includes all-day admission to The Magic House)
